InMage Embeds its Recovery Technologies into Intel Server Continuity Suite

InMage Systems and Intel (News - Alert) have supposedly collaborated to enable the new Intel Server Continuity Suite to help customers manage server hardware, storage and backup from anytime anywhere.

Intel explained that the Intel Server Continuity Suite (SCS (News - Alert)) is a new business continuity software product featuring a single pane of glass interface that intelligently integrates hardware management, server failover, virtualization, storage, RAID, and data protection management all tightly integrated and validated on Intel server boards and systems. The suite also features are rich UI that offer users a single unified interface to learn, schedule tasks and set up alerting via a single vendor support.

Intel stated that the new suite is far easing the process of managing numerous data-driven IT functions with special focus on the SMB market. The company acknowledged that InMage helped it in providing the kind of data protection and recovery functionality SMBs would want.

InMage’s continuous data protection (CDP) technology is helping the suite to backup data in real time and ensures immediate recovery time and recovery point while the predictive hardware failure attribute helps in proactive and comprehensive data protection.

InMage asserted that it leverages several foundation technologies, including continuous data protection (CDP), asynchronous replication over IP, application-specific failover/failback processes, and WAN optimization technologies to provide a comprehensive disaster recovery solution that covers both applications and data.

“By extending leading-edge data protection and recovery capabilities across their server products line, our collaboration with Intel for their Server Continuity Suite resulted in a versatile solution based on the ease of use and simplicity for tens of thousands of Intel customers. Their customers will benefit from continuous disk backup and disaster recovery, at a very affordable cost, in Intel server-powered physical and virtual environments,” said Kumar Malavalli, CEO of InMage, in a press release.

In other news, InMage Systems recently announced vContinuum 3.0, the latest version of InMage's backup and replication software for VMware ESX/vSphere environments. It offers new features and enhancements that make it easier than ever to protect virtual machines.

vContinuum is tightly integrated with VMware vCenter to discover, protect and recover at the vCenter level. This significantly shortens deployment times, simplifies management and enhances security.
