Oracle Communications Service Availability Machine is now available

According to a recent announcement by Oracle, its Communications Service Availability Machine is now available.

Delivering new applications requiring session integrity and up to 99.9 percent availability, the machine ensures an uninterrupted customer experience for mobile and communications applications.

The system meets industry standard Service Availability Forum specifications that provides application portability and reduces vendor lock-in. It also comes with Oracle’s (News - Alert) Sun Netra hardware and Oracle Linux 5.6, reducing project risk. The solution accelerates time-to-market and limits risk for time-sensitive next generation development projects.

"With increased adoption of real-time and near-real time applications, especially on smartphones and tablets, service availability is a critical 'must-have' requirement and business need in the communications industry,” said Nigel Ball, vice president, NEP solutions, Oracle Communications. “Oracle Communications Service Availability Machine combines Oracle's hardware and software leadership, and proven service availability software to help NEPs bring service available applications to market quickly, with minimal project risk, while helping ensure zero interruption of the customer experience."

Oracle Communications Service Availability Machine ensures stateful fail-over and recovery with application session integrity, providing system uptime and uninterrupted service. The machine has also received accolades for its unique services capabilities and service availability expertise that accelerate schedules and reduce project risk.

“Today's communications applications increasingly require the highest possible degree of performance and availability with zero downtime,” said Lee Doyle, group vice president and general manager, network infrastructure and security, IDC (News - Alert). “Oracle Communications Service Availability Machine is squarely focused on this growing market, and the simplicity and performance of this integrated solution is likely to appeal to engineering managers and leaders with projects that require service availability and have urgent time-to-market demands."
