FeedHenry, Cloud Foundry Partner to Help App Developers

Developers looking for a way to develop, deploy and scale cross platform applications seamlessly on the Platform-as-a-Service will benefit from the partnership between the provider of enterprise mobility solutions, FeedHenry (News - Alert) and Cloud Foundry, a VMware initiated PaaS.

FeedHenry's mobile application platform is the only cloud-based mobile application solution that allows developers to build and deploy scalable HTML5, JavaScript and CSS (News - Alert) apps and easily integrate to backend information on Cloud Foundry, according to company officials.

“Mobile apps are transforming how and where information is being consumed and how customers interact with organizations,” said Cathal McGloin (News - Alert), CEO of FeedHenry.

McGloin added that the partnership would bring a valuable solution that will enable developers speed of deployment, instant scalability, device and cloud independence with the ability to easily integrate to backend information.

This will benefit developers, who normally build mobile frontend applications separately and then integrate backend services manually.

“We are seeing a shift to mobile-first development within enterprises, which requires their PaaS solution to provide an integrated mobile development and deployment platform,” said Jerry Chen, vice president of Cloud and Application Services at VMware, in a press release.

New Cloud Foundry members need to register and enter promotion code “feedhenry” while existing ones can access it from their accounts. All CloudFoundry.com developers will have access to the FeedHenry web-based AppStudio development environment.

The FeedHenry Command Line tool, which will enable developers use all features of the platform, can be downloaded from the website.

In other news, FeedHenry announced their participation in the Secured by RSA (News - Alert) Certified Mobile Partner program. FeedHenry will collaborate with RSA, The Security Division of EMC to integrate RSA mobile authentication technologies into their mobile application platform.
