Big Y Signs New Price Optimization Software Agreement with Revionics

Big Y Foods, Inc., a major supermarket chain in New England, has recently signed new price optimization software agreement with Revionics.

This giant supermarket chain has been using the Revionics Price Optimization solution for its base price planning and optimization throughout all of its supermarkets and now it has renewed the agreement to further take advantage of the innovative price optimization solution.

Revionics Price Optimization is part of the Revionics Life Cycle Price Optimization suite of comprehensive solutions that offers shopper-centric pricing and promotions across the product life cycle.

As per Revionics officials, their solution integrates and balances retailers' pricing rules, strategies, and operational constraints with consumer demand to deliver more effective shopper-centric pricing recommendations, which is the main part of category plans and corporate financial objectives.

"Revionics' proven solutions enable us to gain insight into shopper demand and set prices aligned with our price image," stated Michael Tami, vice president of Information Resources and Technologies for Big Y. "We look forward to strengthening our partnership with them."

Big Y is taking advantage of Revionics' price transparency and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS (News - Alert)) delivery approach that helps in increasing the ROI by accelerating adoption of price recommendations.

In addition, the price transparency offers clarity and visibility into the “why and how” behind every price recommendation and even speeds time-to-implementation and ensures high performance and access to the most current solution capabilities.
