Red Hat Linux Product Catalog Includes RhinoSoft's Serv-U

RhinoSoft is the latest member to join the Red Hat partner program and will operate as an independent software vendor or ISV. The authorized Red Hat (News - Alert) Linux product catalog has been enhanced to include Serv-U FTP Server as a protected file transfer application.

In a release, Mark Peterson, president of RhinoSoft said, "When we ported Serv-U to Linux last year it gave Linux administrators new capabilities like web-based administration, mobile transfers and integration with third-party portals. This year we reaffirmed our commitment to the Linux community by aligning with its largest platform provider."

Implementation of EC2 cloud computing on Red Hat Enterprise Linux or RHEL, Fedora, Ubuntu (News - Alert), OpenSUSE, Mint, CentOS and the Amazon Linux AMI is now supported by Serv-U. Red Hat Linux customers interested in secure file transfer and other solutions can refer the Red Hat product catalog for details.

Jonathan Lampe, VP of Product Management at RhinoSoft said, "Our solutions make secure file transfer affordable to businesses, especially those facing budget challenges. Supporting Serv-U on a wide variety of platforms helps our customers save money through reduced training and overhead costs. This is a great opportunity for our resellers to expand their footprint with existing customers or seek out new customers in the Red Hat Linux community. Serv-U provides them a unique opportunity to provide secure file transfer for a price that should fit in anyone's 2012 IT budget."

RhinoSoft’s Serv-U FTP Server and FTP Voyager client products have been approved by U.S. Department of Defense. FTP, SFTP, FTPS and web-based HTTP/S transfers over FIPS 140-2 validated channels are supported by these innovative products. The company is also in the process of combining latest technologies like mobile computing, IPv6, native 64-bit computing and UTF-8/Unicode internationalization into its products.
