CA Technologies (News - Alert), a provider of IT management software and solutions, announced the latest release of the enterprise application performance management software delivering business service innovation across hybrid data center and cloud.
The new CA Cross-Enterprise Application Performance Management (CA CE APM (News - Alert)) gives IT staff more real-time visibility into customer experience and helps them optimize customer-facing applications and services, no matter where they reside, according to Dayton Semerjian, general manager, Mainframe, CA Technologies. With this businesses can deliver quality business service that matches their organizations goals.
CA CE APM extends the mainframe monitoring capabilities and provides richer information about the health and performance of key IT services. As a result organizations get 24x7 monitoring of business transactions in a single pane of glass across mainframe, distributed and the cloud. It helps them better understand the health, availability and business impact of critical business services to prioritize problem resolution and help assure that service performance meets SLAs.
“Having all the necessary information to pinpoint application performance issue in a single place is key to resolving them before the customer experience is tainted,” said Julie-Ann Williams, senior technical consultant for millennia, a European System z consulting company, in a statement.
“With CA CE APM, our entire IT team has access to the information they need to diagnose a problem faster -- whether it’s on a distributed system or the mainframe,” Williams added.
CA CE APM, which is integrated with CA APM, offers several new capabilities. It includes over 90 metrics for DB2 for z/OS, end-to-end IMS for z/OS and the mainframe network to enable better data transfer. It also delivers information about network traffic across mainframe and distributed platforms.
The integrated service offers a virtual infrastructure view enabling staff to diagnose problems in the virtual environment. It also delivers information on how well SaaS (News

Recently CA Technologies announced it has received a positive vendor rating from Gartner (News
