NetApp Awards Data Center - FlexPod Specialization to Datalink

NetApp is said to have recognized Datalink’s expertise in helping companies realize quick ROI and success while installing unified server, storage and networking architectures with the coveted Data Center – FlexPod Specialization.

NetApp awards this specialization only to its partners that fulfill one of the most rigorous levels of company competency and Datalink is the first partner to attain this distinction.

FlexPod, a Cisco (News - Alert), NetApp and VMware solution, can be deployed to accelerate the transformation from infrastructure silos to a virtualized, shared environment. FlexPod Specialization means that Datalink is now certified to support data centers and virtual hosted desktops that utilize the Cisco and NetApp FlexPod design architecture.

Datalink claimed that it also caters to the competency requirements set by NetApp and Cisco and achieved specializations in areas such as Cisco Unified Computing Technology, Cisco Data Center Architecture and NetApp Professional Services Certifications in Storage Infrastructure, Server Virtualization (VMware) and Backup and Recovery.

The company added that it has charted incremental server-to-storage-to-network data center consolidation and virtualization strategies that can help users optimize overall performance and efficiency and leverage the value of a unified data center.

Being the first ever NetApp partner to be awarded the FlexPod Specialization only demonstrates the company’s commitment and dedication to assisting customers in deploying new data center technologies that will help optimize their operations.

“We are pleased to recognize Datalink as the first NetApp channel partner to complete our specialization in Data Center – FlexPod environments. Designed for our top partners, this designation will continue to reinforce Datalink's track record as a holistic advisor to organizations wanting to obtain fast ROI and success when deploying unified server, storage, and networking architectures,” commented Todd Palmer, vice president for Americas Channel Sales at NetApp, in a press release.

Recently Datalink announced the OneCall unified support services for the Cisco, NetApp and VMware FlexPod design architecture and bought substantially all of the assets, and selected liabilities, of Midwave Corporation.
