CPA Firm Frank, Rimerman & Co. Launches NetSuite Cloud Computing Practice

Without a doubt, the hype surrounding cloud computing continues to balloon, as more managed service providers begin offering cloud-based services. And consulting company Frank, Rimerman and Co. (FRC) is no exception, as it capitalizes on the growing demand.

The Northern California-based Certified Public Accounting company announced its consulting division has launched a new cloud computing practice through a partnership with NetSuite (News - Alert) Inc.

Through its affiliation with NetSuite, FRC will offer its clients cloud-based services, which include Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), financials, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), ecommerce, Professional Services Automation (PSA) and NetSuite OneWorld – a cloud-based service that allows companies to manage global business management and financial consolidation.

(Of note: IT research firm Gartner (News - Alert) said in its “Hype Cycle” forecast last year that nearly every vendor who briefs them has a cloud computing strategy yet few have shown how their strategies are cloud-centric.)

FRC’s cloud offering is part of the firm’s overall development strategy, as more companies look to adopt cloud-based services such as infrastructure, network and software services, company officials said.

“The establishment of a cloud computing practice is the next step in the evolution of our technology division,” said Stephen Wolford, a partner at Frank, Rimerman Consulting. “We partnered with NetSuite to ensure that we offer the best possible cloud-based business solutions available on the market to support our clients in exceeding their goals.”

In addition, partnering with NetSuite boosts FRC’s presence in the expanding cloud computing industry. The new cloud computing practice will use FRC’s process and service design, systems integration experience, and experience with public and private sector companies, according to Craig West, NetSuite vice president of channel sales.

“FRC’s experience in technology, and more specifically ERP, combined with the accounting and financial acumen of Frank, Rimerman make this a valued and exciting partnership for delivering NetSuite’s cloud-based solutions,” West said. “The firm’s move to the NetSuite cloud reinforces FRC’s commitment to delivering only the leading technologies to their customers.”
