API Technologies Unveils Latest Version of Secure Administrative Gateway

API Technologies, which provides high-end business electronic solutions, announced the latest version of the ION PRIISMS Secure Administrative Gateway (News - Alert).

PRIISMS, which stands for “Proactive Remote Integrated Intelligent Secure Management Solution” is designed to help companies securely control vendor access to the network while also increasing vendor accountability. It also provides a central control system for managing ION Secure Appliances.

ION PRIISMS is designed for service providers, equipment vendors, and enterprise organizations that want to manage and centrally control technicians' access to hundreds or thousands of devices around the world.

Offering greater stability, scalability and visibility into vendor activity, the new PRIISMS enables businesses to manage thousands of connections with a “single sign-on, point-and-click administrative interface,” said Henry Gold, business area manager, ION Networks (News - Alert) products.

The solution provides secure connectivity using SSL VPN. PRIISMS connects to an ION Secure Appliance and handles NATing automatically, eliminating the need of manual connectivity. The ION Secure Appliance is then connected to the protected devices allowing secure access to virtually any service delivery application.

Additionally, ION PRIISMS helps enterprises and government organizations comply with security policies by delivering multi-level permissions and auditing capabilities that capture session data down to the keystroke.

API Technologies specializes in the design, development, manufacturing of electronic systems, subsystems, RF and secure solutions for technically demanding defense, aerospace and commercial applications

Earlier this year, the company announced the availability of its new secure, portable communications suite, the SST Lightweight Liaison Kit.

Weighing only 24 lbs (11kg) the Lightweight Liaison Kit is a lightweight, rugged sealed case-based suite. The highly customizable liaison kit is designed to incorporate the customer's choice of cryptography, in addition to the secure laptop, satellite terminal, scanner, power, and communications interfaces.

Simultaneously the company also displayed its Spectrum (News - Alert) Sensors line of advanced thermal sensors at the International Air-conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Exposition (AHR Expo 2012).
