Intrinsyc Experts Prepare Presentations for Two Events

Intrinsyc Software (News - Alert) International, a developer of intelligent connected devices, has just revealed that its engineering experts will be participating at the Android (News - Alert) Builders Summit and Embedded Linux Conference. They will be discussing the advent of embedded MultiMediaCard (e-MMC) technology in Linux and Android platforms.

eMMC is an architecture consisting of an embedded storage solution with MMC interface, flash memory and controller, all in a small ball grid array (BGA) package. It is bluntly explained as a micro SD card that is soldered to the embedded device’s main board.

The Android Builders Summit is an ideal event for companies participating in Android-based product development to interact and exchange ideas with their industry colleagues and other participants from the Android community. The summit will be held at Hotel Sofitel SF Bay, Redwood Shores, Calif. from February 13 – 14, 2012.

The Embedded Linux Conference (ELC) will be held during the same time frame at the same location and will feature seminars dedicated exclusively to embedded Linux and embedded Linux developers.

Intrinsyc asserted that its expert’s presentations at the summit and the conference include topics about Android influences on disk activity profile, file system selection and its impact on performance and optimizing partition layout and more. Target (News - Alert) audiences are embedded systems developers or users interested in getting the most out of their eMMC or SD card. Intrinsyc experts will explain in detail about how eMMC can be employed to optimize performance of embedded devices and also about the current state of eMMC applications.

The company works with technology suppliers to develop production ready and custom engineering solutions for mobile and embedded wireless devices. The company’s Principal Engineer Ken Tough will be giving technical presentations at the Embedded Linux Consortium, while Embedded Software Developer Tom Foy will be attending the Android Builders Summit.
