6WIND Announces Support for Cavium's OCTEON III Processor Family

6WIND has announced support within the 6WINDGate software solution for the next-generation OCTEON III processor family from Cavium, improving time-to-market for high-performance mobile and cloud infrastructure applications.

In line with the availability of the processors themselves, 6WINDGate support for the Cavium OCTEON III family will be available, the company has announced.

Recently, Cavium’s 32-core OCTEON II CN68XX embedded processor family received optimized support by the new 6WINDGate software, according to a recent release. With over 40Gbps of performance, the time-to-market for cloud networking and mobile infrastructure equipment is accelerated by the new software.
