By Mini SwamyRed River, a provider of IT products and services to the government and healthcare sectors, has enough reason to be proud of itself. It has been experiencing the fastest growth rate ever since the company was founded.
Company officials said that the growth can be attributed to many factors. A dramatic increase in contract and procurement vehicles with a number of government agencies has partly been responsible for the double-digit growth in year-over-year top line revenue between 2009 and 2010.
“In order to serve the needs of our government customers, Red River has actively built-out a bids and proposals practice that has been awarded significant contracts within the last 12 months,” said Jeff Sessions, senior vice president of sales and marketing, in a press release.
According to Sessions the expansion has led Red River to broaden its contract portfolio from major government-wide acquisition contracts to multiple agency specific BPAs.
Red River has expanded its staff by hiring people to fill many key management and director-level positions in the East and West coast. Multiple sectors of its business have benefited by this expansion.
The launch of the Red River Telework Kits that removed technical and support obstacles and other new solution offerings that are in the offing are expected to enhance the capabilities and experience in data center transformation and cloud computing.
Many new offices have been added and existing facilities have been expanded. As a result of such expansion, Red River has critical staff and resources across the United States.
Dan McGee (News - Alert), Red River’s senior vice president of operations commented on the expansion and said, “With offices in the Washington, D.C. area, as well as in California, Florida, and Colorado, we have the staff in place on a national scale to quickly respond, in person if need be, to any client need.”
In related news, Red River, announced the availability of Red River’s Support Services and its Red Connect portal. Through Red Connect, a secure, proprietary web-based service, Red River’s Support Services offers consolidated management of service contracts from multiple OEMs.
