Sonus Experts to Address IPv6 2011 Conference and ITEXPO West 2011

Sonus Networks (News - Alert) specializing in IP-based network solutions announced that technical experts from the company will speak at two upcoming conferences in the third quarter of 2011, including the IPv6 2011 conference, sponsored by Light Reading (News - Alert), and the ITEXPO West 2011.

According to a release from the company, Aashu Virmani, its senior director of marketing, will address the gathering at the IPv6 2011 conference held at the Hilton New York in New York City on July 14, 2011. 

It is expected that Virmani will talk on the topic, “Security in the IPv6 World.” This session will shed light on the short-term challenges and the long-range advantages of implementing IPv6 which presently offers better Internet security.

Company sources at Sonus announced support for IPv6 across its entire product line. Sonus assures its customers that their infrastructure will work effectively with both IPv4 and IPv6 technologies when the industry is transitioning to full IPv6 deployment. Sonus is a Gold Sponsor of IPv62011.

Mykola Konrad, director of enterprise product management at Sonus, will be talking on the enterprise track at ITEXPO (News - Alert) West 2011 a well known communications and technology trade show.

Konrad will talk on the topic “Enterprise SBCs: Extending Beyond Interoperability,” at ITEXPO West 2011 scheduled to take place on September 13 2011 in Austin, Texas. The presentation will cover all the recent trends in enterprise session border controllers. Also, he will discuss the efficacy of adopting SIP, SIP Trunking, and hosted PBX (News - Alert) in the enterprise.

Bob Bradley, product line manager for security solutions at Sonus will talk on the topic “The Next Generation of Voice Security,” at ITEXPO West 2011. He will discuss network threats, their severity, and why traditional network security measures are not able to protect voice and unified communications traffic.
