IT provider Zenith Infotech had a lot to discuss at the 2011 Cloud Computing Expo in New York City earlier this month. CEO of TMC (News - Alert), Rich Tehrani, had the opportunity to sit down with Pierfranco Issa, sales engineer at Zenith InfoTech, to discuss the company’s participation at the show and the success of its IT solutions this past year.
Headquartered in Warrendale, Pa., Zenith InfoTech has a worldwide presence in countries such as Asia, Belgium and the company has recently penetrated the Brazilian market in South America, as well.
The company that provides IT as a service boasts a portfolio consisting of three separate yet complimentary services, including managed services with back office support, help desk and business continuity.
According to Issa, the company retains most of its business through its channel sales side, which explains its involvement at the Cloud Computing Expo show.
In terms of trends, Issa says Zenith has been seeing a lot of antiquated IT services in the market.
“Some people are doing backup on tape as opposed to a disc. Some people are looking into the cloud as far as the virtualization aspect. The beauty of it is if something happens as far as a disaster, you can cover it within a matter of minutes,” he said.
Issa explained Zenith’s CS4-14 as the company’s bread and butter product because it is a virtualization model that can sit on Zenith’s cloud server, is completely scalable and its power management utility makes it a green incentive as well; something Issa says states like New York and California are trying to incentivize to move IT teams to go green.
Zenith’s SmartStyle office is an interface that speaks to the server. SmartStyle is a private cloud solution optimized for IT-as-a-Service offerings that run virtual desktops and servers that can replace or supplement existing physical hardware.
Zenith’s Mirror Cloud is a backup agent to its server. MirrorCloud is Zenith's next generation business continuity solution and is an add-on software to the SmartStyle Computing platform which provides extended business continuity and failover virtualization for Windows desktops and servers.
Issa added that Zenith’s services have no licensing fees and the company serves as its own vendor, therefore they do not purchase any equipment from outside companies. He explained that the way they stay competitive is by providing free training to our partners and the end user with a help desk as well.
“We are covering all our bases when it comes to the service side, the support side and the business side as well,” he said.
Issa sees the growth in the cloud as helping Zenith Infotech in the industry. “The Microsoft’s (News
- Alert) of the world are capitalizing and investing heavily on the cloud. We’ve been very dedicated to providing a full suite of cloud computing services as well,” he said.
