FilesAnywhere Selects FastSoft to Accelerate Cloud Service

FastSoft (News - Alert), Inc. recently announced that FilesAnywhere has chosen the company’s E-Series web acceleration software to speed up file transfers from its cloud storage service. FilesAnywhere is one of the leading providers of enterprise and consumer remote file storage. The company offers businesses and consumers online file sharing and storage services. FilesAnywhere recently launched a new mobile faxing solution for smartphones that gives customers the option of faxing documents stored in their FilesAnywhere account from just about any location to any location.

The company chose the FastSoft E-Series appliance as part of its ongoing efforts to give its users high-speed access to their documents and files. After the installation of the FastSoft E-Series appliance, the company reports that on average file transfers from the site are now 30 percent faster with the E-Series.

In a release, Tim Rice, founder and CEO of FilesAnywhere said that “We are in a highly competitive market and having a 30% performance advantage boosts customer satisfaction dramatically. Download speed is a really big deal because we give our customers more access to their data than our competition and working with FastSoft enhances that added value.”

FastSoft’s E-Series relies heavily on the company’s origin content acceleration (OCA) technology which helps to significantly speed up the delivery of dynamic and non-cacheable data that is delivered from origin servers. Usually, when these servers are located far from the end user, it results in a noticeable transport latency delay which will reduce the download speed of the content. OCA augments content delivery networks (CDNs) and front-end optimization (FEO) technology to offer complete web performance optimization.

Ed Snyder, FastSoft CEO, said, “The adoption of cloud services has been dramatic, but has also brought with it an expectation from users that response times be as fast as they are used to from local network resources. FilesAnywhere is a cloud-services pioneer with deep experience and knowledge about user experience and satisfaction, which makes it even more significant that they chose our E-Series to accelerate their service.”
