- Alert), a global provider of Internet and mobile cloud monitoring, announced BJ’s Wholesale Club, an operator of membership warehouse clubs in the Eastern United States, is using Keynote solutions for optimizing the performance of their Web site.
Keynote, in the first phase of the project, conducted peak load tests using Keynote LoadPro to ensure that all components of BJ’s site were fully prepared to handle usage before the site went live.
“We take performance and user experience very seriously,” said Shamim Mohammad, vice president of Information Technology at BJ’s, in a statement.
“Although we do considerable testing within our environment, we needed to validate that end users are seeing good performance and availability,” Mohammad added. “Keynote services show us how our site is responding from an end user perspective from all parts of the country so we can uncover any issues and fix them before they impact our customers.”
The BJ’s site is operational now. Keynote’s ongoing monitoring services inform BJ’s whether the site is available and performing optimally to deliver better experience to its members. This allows BJ’s to respond to issues before they impact customers.
“BJ’s is a perfect example of how companies are taking advantage of Keynote services to proactively ensure that their site will be able to handle its customers before it goes live,” said Don Aoki, senior vice president of online performance and user experience testing at Keynote.
“We really take guessing out of the picture. And once in production, companies rely on Keynote’s ongoing Web performance monitoring services to get full visibility into how their Web transactions are performing and what their customers are experiencing,” Aoki added.
Recently, Keynote Systems announced the launch of Mobile Internet Testing Environment (MITE 2), an advanced tool for automated testing and verification of mobile content. The technology will help mobile content developers, as well as operations and QA teams to instantly test and verify mobile Web content.
