Social Media Management and Compliance Solution from Actiance Now Has LinkedIn Static Content Pre-Approval Workflow Capabilities

The Socialite solution from Actiance now has enhanced capabilities to allow organizations to proactively approve changes and content on the LinkedIn (News - Alert) profiles of its employees. The leading provider of safe and compliant unified communication use, Actiance has tied up with Web 2.0 to offer this unique Static Content Pre-Approval Workflow, which has not been seen in the market to date.

This enables Actiance to keep control over regulation compliance by all companies including financial service organizations. One such regulation is the Financial Industry Regulatory Advisory (FINRA) Regulatory Notice 10-06, which states that all static content has to be approved before publishing.

IIROC has issued guidelines on drafts along with the FINRA 10-06 regulation to ensure static content pre-approval. With these regulatory bodies moving toward a departmentalization of social media usage, businesses need to automate this mandate to ensure progressive growth. This is where the new and improved Socialite comes in, with its ability to control social networking sites granularly, with specific focus on managing the content and access levels shared across the 160 plus features on sites like Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook (News - Alert).

In a release, CEO of Actiance, Kailash Ambwani (News - Alert) said that “As social media has changed the way people interact and communicate with each other, LinkedIn has become increasingly popular with financial advisors and wealth managers who wish to connect and communicate with prospects and current clients. In FINRA-regulated firms, the requirement to pre-approve static content, such as the LinkedIn profile has been an obstruction to its use. Until now, there was no way to proactively monitor the profile, alert upon changes, or ensure that changes received pre-approvals. Our workflow functionality opens up LinkedIn in a whole new way that truly enables regulated individuals to leverage the social network while remaining compliant. We're the only vendor that can provide this capability due to our deep understanding of compliance requirements, heritage in security and expertise in the intricacies of social networks."
