Search Technologies, Lucid Team to Deliver Implementation Services for LucidWorks

Search Technologies has partnered with Lucid Imagination to deliver implementation services for LucidWorks, a Lucid’s certified Apache Lucene / Solr distribution.

Lucid Imagination is dedicated to Apache Solr/Lucene open source enterprise search technology. It provides search solution development platforms built on the power of Solr/Lucene open source search via enterprise-grade subscriptions.

The company is adding Search Technologies as a LucidWorks Enterprise partner, said Eric Gries, CEO at Lucid Imagination.

Noting that there’s clear momentum behind the commercial use of open source search, Gries said that the combination of Search Technologies’ proven search implementation expertise with the company’s open source search platform will give customers even more options for building highly accurate, scalable, flexible and cost-effective search applications.

Search Technologies is an independent provider of search engine expertise and implementation services. The company provides search engine implementation and support services to over 200 corporate and Government customers. The company says that its team of more than 80 experts is the most experienced group of search implementation professionals globally.

The company is seeing a rapid increase in the number of organizations contemplating the use of open source-based search solutions, said Kamran Khan, CEO at Search Technologies. He said that concerns about professional implementation, support and software maintenance have held some people back in the past.

“These are no longer concerns. Implementation and support services equivalent to or better than mainstream alternatives are now available,” Khan said.

This month, Search Technologies helped Syngenta to migrate legacy search applications, and it provided search engine implementation services to LifeScript.
