Sify Technologies Wins Awards for 'Best Data Center' and 'Innovations in Enterprise Applications'

Sify (News - Alert) Technologies, a provider of enterprise and consumer Internet services in India with global delivery capabilities, revealed it has recently received two awards for the 'Best Data Center' and 'Innovations in Enterprise Applications'.

The company received the awards at the CMAI 5th National Telecom Awards 2011 in New Delhi. These significant awards were for Sify Technologies’ best practices in building Data Centers and innovations in Enterprise Application Services.

CMAI Association of India is an apex non-profit trade promotion organization based in India, with MOU partners and representatives spread across globe. CMAI National Telecom awards were created to identify, acknowledge, and recognize outstanding contributions to the field of communications and ICT, for building a robust national telecom network.

“These accolades could not have been better timed. Over the last five years, we have been continuously investing to build our capabilities in Managed Services. We have just completed a decade of leadership in the Indian Data Center market,” said Raju Vegesna (News - Alert), CEO and managing director of Sify Technologies, in a statement.

At present, Sify is currently building five State Data Centers. Sify is ready to take these offerings to the global market.

Sify launched India's first Level 3 data center in Mumbai, in September 2000. Over the last 10 years, Sify invested in centers in Chennai and Bangalore with increasing levels of sophistication and capability.

Sify's investment in data centers is nearly $100 million. Sify is also developing cutting-edge 'Green' initiatives for its data centers.

Recently, Sify announced its association with SAUDI TELECOM (STC), a telecom services provider in the Middle East and North Africa. Sify’s reach in India with a comprehensive range of products and STC’s advanced telecommunications networks will enable the new partnership to serve the global community with telecom capacities and value added ICT services.
