PeopleCube Debuts Workspace Manager On-Demand to Enable Desk Scheduling for Organizations

PeopleCube announced the availability of Workspace Manager On-Demand, which is capable of providing simple, visual-based room and desk scheduling for organizations of all sizes.

With the Web-based Workspace Manager application, PeopleCube makes it convenient for customers to quickly use and maintain Workspace Manager cost effectively with no need for ongoing maintenance or reliance on IT.

John T. Anderson, president and CEO of PeopleCube, said in a release, “Workspace Manager On-Demand’s low cost model enables organizations to benefit from a more efficient resource scheduling system without significant capital investment, a welcome boon to organizations under ever-increasing pressure to reduce spending.”

“Offering an additional cost-effective on-demand software solution enables PeopleCube to build on the sustained growth of our SaaS (News - Alert) business, while simultaneously offering on-demand advantages to existing Workspace Manager customers,” Anderson added.

Workspace manager is offered as a hosted model and leverages new developments in software deployment. The hosted model is very efficient, as it eliminates the need for technical training besides reducing the cost of implementing new software. Workspace Manager On-Demand ensures scaling flexibility and data security and has no hidden costs to be spent on hardware, annual maintenance fees or internal support personnel, explained officials.

Robert P. Desisto, vice president and distinguished analyst for Gartner (News - Alert) Research reiterated that, “Lower costs during the first two years of SaaS and quicker deployment times are very enticing for companies with tight budgets and urgent software needs. SaaS-delivered solutions can also provide access to innovation without the pain of traditional upgrade programs.”

BusinessSolve, acquired recently by PeopleCube, developed Workspace Manager as a Web-based resource scheduling system used for booking and managing rooms, desk booking, scheduling car parking spaces, and visitor management. It allows employees and facilities management teams to search and book resources from an interactive floor plan or a calendar view. Workspace Manager is accessible from a Web browser, Microsoft (News - Alert) Outlook, LCD digital room displays, mobile phones, touch screen kiosks, and VOIP telephony handsets.

In related news, TMCnet reported that PeopleCube solutions also helps businesses to save on meeting services and energy costs by considering actual workspace usage. The company’s intelligent on-demand workplace management solutions are also used by enterprises to reduce their costs on real estate and travel requirements.
