Increasing Number of Oracle Partners Are Achieving OPN Specialization for Oracle Linux

Oracle (News - Alert) PartnerNetwork (OPN) is helping partners rapidly achieve specialization in Oracle Linux. According to Oracle, in less than four months, nearly 60 Oracle partners, including resellers, hosting companies, system integrators and education providers have completed specialization in Oracle Linux, with thousands to join soon.

The specialization in Oracle Linux, which is achieved through competency development, business results, expertise and proven success, gives the partners a stronghold in the development and implementation of solutions based on Oracle Linux. The solutions, according to oracle, feature the most market-friendly combination of Oracle’s Unbreakable Enterprise Kernel and Oracle Linux support. This ultimately goes in favor of the customers, who can take the advantage of the latest innovations and performance enhancements in Linux at substantially lower cost and risk.

On meeting a stringent set of requirements based on the needs and priorities of the customer and partner community, the Oracle partners are awarded the specialized status. This distinction however, helps the certified partners to stay ahead of the competitors as Oracle customers always prefer to buy products from specialized vendors.

“Achieving Specialization in Oracle Linux reinforces our expertise and proven successes in this area and helps us provide our customers with the scalable, reliable IT infrastructure they demand,” VP of Data Intensity Marc Caruso acknowledged in a statement. Data Intensity is a managed and hosting service provider that proactively monitors, manages and hosts enterprise databases and applications for its clients.

In the press release Oracle said that the latest version of Oracle's partner program- Oracle PartnerNetwork (OPN) Specialized is designed to provide partners with tools to better develop, sell and implement Oracle solutions. OPN Specialized offers resources to train and support specialized knowledge of Oracle products and solutions and has evolved to recognize Oracle growing product portfolio, partner base and business opportunity.

Recently, Oracle announced that PHH Corporation selected Oracle Exalogic Elastic Cloud and Oracle Exadata Database Machine as part of a complete Oracle Technology Solution for its next-generation common technology platform.
