LINBIT and Novell Announce Promotional Pricing for Cluster Stack Health Check

LINBIT, the Linux High-Availability software firm, and Novell (News - Alert), a provider of infrastructure software, announced promotional pricing for LINBIT's Cluster Stack Health Check service.

Aimed at enterprise customers, the complete Cluster Stack Health Check ensures the optimized performance of Linux high availability clustering solutions. LINBIT's Cluster Stack Health Check is a pre-packaged offering. It provides detailed analysis and reporting of high availability cluster configurations by leading Linux high availability experts.

“We ran into issues on a high availability cluster which we couldn't immediately identify as a hardware or software problem,” said Evgeny Nifontov from Fresenius Netcare, an IT service provider and part of health care group Fresenius.

“We had LINBIT check on our cluster configuration and were very pleased with both the procedure and the results of our Cluster Stack Health Check,” Nifontov added. “We received clear suggestions for improvement which we implemented step by step, and this proved to be very effective.”

LINBIT's Cluster Stack Health Check package includes an extensive check-up for Linux high availability clustering solutions such as the SUSE Linux Enterprise High Availability Extension. LINBIT's Professional Services team will offer a thorough examination of the cluster stack and a detailed best practice report highlighting recommended enhancements for your stack.

“This offering demonstrates Novell and LINBIT's continued cooperation to ensuring the stability and performance of enterprise Linux clusters,” said Carlos Montero-Luque, vice president of business and product management at Novell, in a statement

“LINBIT's Cluster Stack Health Check gives every SUSE Linux Enterprise Server customer the chance to have their high availability configurations thoroughly tested by some of the industry's leading high-availability experts,” Montero-Luque added.

Recently, LINBIT announced its support and inclusion in the SkySQL  Reference Architecture. By partnering with SkySQL, LINBIT as the driving force behind DRBD continues to deliver enterprise grade support for MySQL High Availability solutions.
