Digital Management, Telcordia Forge Deal to Deliver IPv6 Transition Services

Digital Management, a provider of IT solutions and business strategy consultancy, announced its partnership with Telcordia (News - Alert) Technologies, to offer IPv6 Transition Services.

The strategic relationship aligns Telcordia's expertise in building and managing complex Internet and telecom networks with Digital Management’s dedication to excellence.

“Digital Management is pleased to establish this key strategic relationship,” said Jay Sunny Bajaj, CEO of Digital Management, in a statement. “As a globally recognized leader in broadband and enterprise communications software and services, Telcordia is the ideal partner to join us in helping agencies to execute seamless transitions to the IPv6 protocol.”

The DMI and Telcordia team will focus on helping government entities in responding to the directive from Federal CIO, Vivek Kundra. The Federal government wants all U.S. government agencies to upgrade their public-facing Web sites and services by September 30, 2012 to support IPv6.

“With our experience in architecting the nation's telecommunications infrastructure, as well as our initiatives in national cyber security, Telcordia is ideally suited to play a key role in the essential progression to IPv6,” said Brent Greene, president, Advanced Technology Solutions (News - Alert), Telcordia.

“Digital Management has demonstrated both the leadership and trustworthiness clients require for something so fundamental as an IP backbone overhaul. Together, we'll deliver the depth and quality of service clients need to bring mission-critical systems into the 21st century,” Greene added.

Both companies offer comprehensive solutions for IPv6 transition. Services offered by the Digital Management and Telcordia team will include IPv6 Readiness Assessment & Compliance Gap Analysis, IPv6 Transition Planning and IPv6 Implementation Support.

Recently, Codenomicon and Telcordia announced their agreement that will see Codenomicon's (News - Alert) vulnerability testing technology made available to telecom equipment manufacturers and communications service providers (CSPs) as part of Telcordia's third-party product testing service.
