Infoblox Solutions Approved for Federal E-Rate Program

Infoblox (News - Alert) Inc. announced that its IPv6-ready DNS, DHCP and IPAM (DDI) and network change and configuration management (NCCM) platforms have gained approval for a $2.25 Billion federal E-Rate program.

The company specializes in developing advanced network infrastructure automation and control solutions. The E-Rate program will ensure the provision of access to affordable telecommunications and information technology services for schools and libraries.

Steve Garrison, Vice President of Marketing at Infoblox, said in a release, “Infoblox network infrastructure solutions are already relied on by more than four million students for their daily campus network access.”

“Infoblox’s E-Rate approval is a testament to our commitment to continue serving the education market. Now, many more schools and libraries in the U.S. have an excellent opportunity to cost-effectively take advantage of Infoblox’s award-winning solutions,” Garrison added.

William Buckalew, Vice President of Operations at Comm Solutions said that Infoblox has served the needs of his company by providing effective solutions that are required to face challenges of organizations as networks become more dynamic owing to greater mobility and the prevalence of virtualization and cloud computing.

“Helping enterprises address these challenges has resulted in an excellent business with Infoblox and now this E-Rate approval will help us continue to grow that business with more universities and colleges,” Buckalew added.

Infoblox develops network infrastructure control solutions and provides clients with unique technologies such as the Infoblox Grid, a real-time, data distribution technology that can increase network availability and control. It also automates time-consuming manual tasks in network infrastructure services like domain name resolution (DNS), IP address management (IPAM), network change and configuration management (NCCM) and network discovery.

Stephenson Harwood, a UK-based international commercial law firm with clients in financial services, transportation, real estate and energy, picked Infoblox appliances for internal and external domain name resolution, IP address assignment and IP address management, according to a TMCnet report.
