Rave Mobile Safety, Smart911 Honor Members of Public Safety Telecommunications

Rave Mobile Safety, a provider of software solutions for individual, group and public safety, and Smart911, said that in recognition of the National Public Safety Telecommunications Week they are honoring all the members of the public safety telecommunications. Those that will be honored include engineers, technicians, IT support personnel, supervisors, managers, directors, vendors, designers, consultants, trainers, 9-1-1 coordinators, chiefs, county, state and federal officials.

Smart911 allows users to store critical care and emergency rescue information with Smart911 in advance of any emergency. The information is collected on the Smart911 website. Then, if one calls 911 from a subscriber phone, Smart911's technology automatically makes the information available to the caller’s 911 operator provided that the 911 center receiving the call has Smart911 technology. Smart911 enables public safety tele-communicators to thrive in their role by providing them with vital, life saving citizen information.

An official with the Nashville Emergency Communications Center said that the information provided through Smart911 allows caller and their respective 9-1-1 center to have greater insight into an emergency situation, before first responders are deployed to the scene. Telecommunicators attending emergency calls have been trained to ask the right questions, often during an emergency it’s challenging to get an accurate response from a stressed caller. For public safety telecommunicators, having detailed health information and a caller’s accurate address can equal valuable minutes saved, which is vital in a life saving situation.

Rave Mobile Safety develops, sells and supports enterprise software applications that keep on-the-go people safe and secure. Some of the notable features of its solutions are: they are all 100 percent hosted software as a service (SaaS (News - Alert)) and they need nothing else to install; the solutions are designed for superior reliability and performance and engineered to support large user bases; blends the best of mobile technology and applies it to the most important outcome – personal safety; and more.

“This week, Rave Mobile Safety is recognizing the individuals that make our communities safer and serve as the first line to help during an emergency,” said Tom Axbey, CEO of Rave Mobile Safety, in a press release. “Each day these individuals put themselves in situations where their skills are relied upon, and their response is critical. National Public Safety Telecommunications Week is an important time of year, where we stop to recognize these efforts and how vital these individuals are to maintaining a safe community.”
