Blue Ridge Networks Expands Cybersecurity Solutions Portfolio

Blue Ridge Networks, a provider of cybersecurity solutions to government and enterprises, launched two new products for secure remote access and endpoint protection with control.

With the new solutions, customers can eliminate network vulnerabilities and smartcard exploitations, as well as prevent malware penetration. The company added EdgeGuard and AppGuard Enterprise to Blue Ridge's BorderGuard enterprise solutions to offer secure remote access.

With the two new additional products, Blue Ridge is positioning itself as a company which can offer a complete end-to-end solution that enables trusted network sessions, secure remote access to the network, and maximum protection from network penetrations of known and unknown malware.

“EdgeGuard and AppGuard Enterprise have the unique ability to provide assured trusted session authentication with protection against harm from malware that traditional cybersecurity approaches fail to provide,” said John Higginbotham, executive chairman of Blue Ridge Networks, in a statement.

“Our proven portfolio of solutions combined with EdgeGuard secure remote access and AppGuard Enterprise endpoint protection, delivers a comprehensive security posture for even the most complex networks,” Higginbotham added.

Company officials said the new products are compatible with most IT architectures and non-disruptive to network operations. Blue Ridge offers solutions to enhance defense-in-depth approaches to cybersecurity.

Blue Ridge Networks leverages standards-based patented technologies to enable secure remote access through a trusted connection from almost any laptop or desktop computer back to centralized resources on the enterprise network.

The company invested significant time and resources to the research and development to come out with new product. Blue Ridge is planning to deliver advanced network security solutions for its customers.

Recently, Blue Ridge Networks appointed Jerry Edgerton as president, Government Group. He has more than 30 years experience in advancing information technology adoption and implementation in government agencies. Edgerton will be responsible for expanding and growing Blue Ridge’s federal business.
