ASG Enters into Definitive Agreement to Acquire PS'Soft SAS

Allen Systems Group (ASG) has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire PS’Soft SAS (News - Alert) – a provider of IT Asset and Service Management software. PS’Soft SAS is a BDNA company.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed, however.

Industry experts opined that this acquisition further solidifies ASG’s product strategy, designed to automate data center operations and strengthen customers’ ability to both manage and deliver IT services critical to business processes.

 “With the introduction of virtualization and web-based technologies, our customers are looking for a dynamic IT service environment that can keep pace with this rapid rate of change and growing complexity,” said Arthur Allen, chief executive officer of ASG, in a statement.

“Our application dependency and change management expertise coupled with PS’Soft’s excellence in service management makes us a collective driving force in delivering end user satisfaction with customers. Together, we’ll deliver an even better end-user experience for our customers than before,” said Allen.

“Our European customers across many market segments seek to efficiently manage IT through best of breed tools and business practices. We have delivered over the years market leading solution that provide CIOs the necessary visibility into core assets and business services,” said Ossama Hassanein, chairman of the board of BDNA.

“PS’Soft’s acquisition by ASG now makes perfect sense, as it allows us to take our vision one step further - providing the financial and technology resources of a proven leader in information management to further cement our market leadership across the world,” said Hassanein.

ASG provides a full range of practical software solutions that help IT organizations lower costs, save time, and make proactive decisions that drive business success.

TMCnet recently reported that By acquiring the TRILOGexpert Group, Allen Systems Group (ASG) will provide its customers with a combination of two market-leading solutions that will help optimize IT resources. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
