In other news, EMC recently announced that New Jersey-based hosted cloud solutions provider Blue Diamond Solutions (BDS) has chosen EMC Avamar deduplication backup software and systems to deliver next generation disk-based backup capabilities to its customers. The inherent simplicity, low bandwidth consumption and advanced automation of Avamar is a perfect match for the BDS model, which rapidly advances customers' IT capabilities by providing on-demand cloud-based services for offsite backup, server virtualization, and desktop virtualization.
