Abiquo and everis Begin Partnership

Abiquo (News - Alert), the leading enterprise cloud management software company, recently announced that it has entered into a partnership with everis, a multi-national consulting company dedicated to defining, designing and implementing business strategies for Global 2000 enterprises.

According to the terms of the agreement, Abiquo Enterprise Edition will help everis build private clouds by providing third-party infrastructure resources, including heterogeneous compute, network and storage resources. Moreover, both the companies will work together to market and implement private clouds.

“Our customers want leading technology solutions that give them greater control and flexibility,” said Juan Carlos Ferrer, everis head of global cloud computing outsourcing, in a press release. “We continue evaluating the other cloud management solutions, but found that Abiquo’s business policy engine is unique.”

“It makes implementing our strategies much easier and customers can use the policy engine to adapt to changing needs,” he added. “Abiquo gives us the power to manage global infrastructure with heterogeneous environments, so we can recommend the same strategy for VMware users as we would for Hyper-V or open source users.”

The partnership will allow everis to leverage Abiquo’s resources to expand its service and implementation capability throughout Europe and Latin America.

“Enterprises in Europe and Latin America are looking for the best tools to design and implement their cloud strategies,” said Pete Malcolm (News - Alert), CEO of Abiquo, in a statement. “Abiquo’s business partnership with everis provides these new Cloud players with the means to develop, implement, and manage their Cloud strategies successfully.”

Recently, Abiquo announced it was named one of the 100 Top Cloud Computing Vendors by Everything Channel's CRN.

The company said the list highlights cloud vendors and solutions for the channel - including storage cloud offerings, security cloud offerings, cloud apps, cloud infrastructure and cloud platforms to assist solution providers in navigating the cloud phenomena successfully.
