Senetas Appoints UK Reseller and Wins UK Agency Bid

Senetas Corporation Limited announced the appointment of a new UK-based reseller, Tellemachus, and announced its success in winning a bid to secure an emergency services agency with Senetas encryption technology.

As part of the winning the Tellemachus solution, Senetas has shipped a consignment of CS100 Ethernet encryptors, designed to secure Layer 2 networks running at up to 100 Mbps.

Gareth Jones, UK general manager of Seneta, said that Tellemachus was a valuable asset to the Senetas Europe partner network.

Tellemachus was established in 1994 by a group of IT professionals who brought together highly skilled expertise in a number of different fields. The company offers a complete service of consultation, design, development, deployment and the support of end-to-end IP surveillance networks and CCTV solutions.

"This is an exciting opportunity for Tellemachus to provide our customers with a range of high speed network encryption devices that will totally secure optical fibre and Ethernet networks,” said Matt Wood (News - Alert) , technical director of Tellemachus, in a statement.

"There has been a strong belief that fibre is secure, however we know this is not the case. By partnering with Senetas, the global leader in high speed network encryption, we are able to offer customers the solutions that will drastically reduce potential risk to their networks," said Wood.

Senetas Corporation Limited, an Australian public company, is a developer and supplier of high speed network encryption hardware products.

Earlier in March, Senetas Corporation announced that it had appointed experienced Middle East systems integrators and professional services consultants, EMEA Enterprise Solutions W.L.L, as a reseller of its data protection solutions based on globally certified high-speed encryption technology.

Senetas CEO and acting chairman, John DuBois, said the presence of Senetas in Qatar through the EMEA group was a significant move since Qatar is one of the world’s fastest growing economies and enjoys one of the highest per capita incomes in the world due to its rich oil and gas resources.
