Hosting.com and LinkTiger Join Hand to Offer a Link Validation Solution

Broken and missing links equal lost revenue, customer dissatisfaction, lost traffic and higher costs. To reconstruct the missing links, Hosting.com (News - Alert), a provider of cloud hosting and recovery services signed a deal with LinkTiger, a link validation solution. LinkTiger is a simple Software-as-a-Service (SaaS (News - Alert)) solution. The company manages the validity of links on a customer's website to prevent broken links and lost revenue. It’s simple, easy-to-use service is suitablel for company websites, e-commerce sites and any Web presence that needs optimal functionality.

LinkTiger offers marketing managers, Web masters, bloggers or anyone who owns or manages websites with a powerful tool to find broken links so that the links can be fixed before being noticed by their customers. LinkTiger research shows that on average over 3 percent of links on a website are broken with some as high as 9 percent.

According to a press release, as a SaaS solution, LinkTiger is an easy-to-use online tool and does not require software or hardware installations. Customer websites are scanned automatically on a chosen schedule and the results are displayed in a Web-based portal. LinkTiger scans diversified file types including HTML, JavaScript, CSS (News - Alert), PDF, Flash, Java Applets and Microsoft Office.

Steve Moskowski, director at LinkTiger, Inc., said, "Our partnership with Hosting.com validates the need for this type of service for the Internet's most critical applications. Our cloud-based service is a great way for MSP's and cloud providers to increase average revenue per customer and create long-term relationships."

Alan Glazer, Hosting.com commercial solutions manager, commented, "Most of our customers rely on their websites for critical business applications and sales, and having broken links will lead to devastating results. Everyone has encountered broken links on the Internet and everyone knows the frustration they can cause. For our customers, broken links can lead to lost sales, frustrated end users and a decrease in productivity."

In other news, Hosting.com has entered a partnership agreement with Coyote Point Systems (News - Alert), Inc. Coyote’s Dedicated Load Balancing solution dynamically distributes traffic across the Web servers, improving the uptime of client applications and websites. These ensure increase in Web traffic and are perfect for customers who have multiple Web servers. The solutions are used by various Hosting.com cloud, dedicated and colocation customers for improved application response time and uptime.
