Carousel Buys Juma Technology and Nectar Services IT Consulting Business

Juma (News - Alert) Technology and Nectar Services have announced the sale of their IT consulting business to Carousel Industries.

Carousel Industries is a top company in data networking and unified communications. A software firm, Nectar (News - Alert) Services specializes in managed services for the voice and data networks.

In a release, Anthony Servidio who is the Chairman and CEO of Juma said, "This acquisition helps Carousel accelerate the expansion of their managed services offering, broadening out their skill set by adding a talented team of individuals who are experts in IP-converged communications. We've been enjoying working with Carousel's team to ensure a smooth transition for the loyal and valued customers Juma's team has cultivated since 2002."

Servidio also stated that everyone has benefitted with this deal and the Juma team has been smoothly transitioned into the Carousel organization.

According to Jeff Gardner, CEO of Carousel Industries, the organization has significantly increased its footprint to serve customers in the northeastern United States by acquiring Juma's managed services business. The company has also augmented its engineering staff with additional talent. Mr. Gardner added that apart from expanding the company’s geographic reach, this acquisition has also helped to increase the strength of the engineering team.

Juma Technology (News - Alert) will continue to be the holding company of Nectar Services. The proceeds of the sale of the managed services business will be reinvested by Juma into the Nectar real time IP communications events management platform.

Servidio said, "We are extremely proud to have recently signed and announced licensing and marketing agreements with a number of new channel partners including the Aura Alliance. With the sales of our own managed services business to Carousel, we are extremely well positioned to expand our sales, marketing and development efforts in support of all our channel partners."

According to Mr. Servidio, businesses are looking out for greater productivity tools with increased cost savings. Significant advantages are now driven to the partners and their clients with Nectar's powerful monitoring and management platform.
