DBx GEOMATICS Introduces 3rd Generation of Thematic Web Mapping Solution

DBx GEOMATICS, a major player in the development of interactive Web mapping applications, has unveiled CartoVista 3, the 3rd generation of its thematic Web mapping solution.

The all new CartoVista 3 includes a brand-new tile engine, which integrates existing map tile providers, such as Google (News - Alert), Bing or Yahoo Maps. Both content managers and GIS professionals, with the newly added feature are able to publish interactive maps to the Internet in a few minutes.

Entirely re-architected and optimized for a faster display, CartoVista 3 provides an unparalleled interactive experience. It combines the best of today’s cartography with advanced data visualization and continues to be a highly effective Web application.

In a press release, Dany Bouchard, president of DBx GEOMATICS, said: “With its user-friendly icons and graphics, the CartoVista 3 user interface includes new pods, windows, contextual menus and animations to help display strategic indicator data. The user interface leverages the best of the Adobe Flash platform with a maximum of flexibility.”

He also added, “The dockable windows and dialogs assist the users in building advanced dashboard views for analysis in just a few clicks.”

More control over the map thematic analyses is also provided by CartoVista 3. It now supports unlimited thematic analyses from different interactive vector layers all at once.

CartoVista 3 maps load up to three times faster than version 2, provides smoother navigation and allows for unlimited zoom details.
