OpenLogic Announces Partnership with MuleSoft

OpenLogic, the premier provider of enterprise open source software support, scanning and governance solutions, has signed a partnership agreement with MuleSoft, the provider of Web middleware built on leading open source projects Mule ESB and Apache Tomcat.

As per the agreement, OpenLogic will resell MuleSoft's Tcat Server, the leading enterprise Tomcat app server, which is built on the open source project Apache Tomcat.

With capabilities such as performance monitoring and diagnostics, application deployment, and server and configuration management, Tcat Server addresses key gaps in "plain vanilla" Apache Tomcat.

Tcat Server is based 100 percent on the Apache Tomcat binaries, with zero changes to the core code.

IT teams, with the help of Tcat Server are able to migrate from legacy platforms such as Oracle (News - Alert) WebLogic and IBM WebSphere to the lightweight and open source Tomcat.

Among OpenLogic customers, Tomcat is currently one of the most popular support packages. Now, with the inclusion of Tcat Server, the customers will benefit more. Tcat Server, for companies that face the challenge of managing multiple Tomcat servers and instances will come as an effective and attractive option for using Tomcat in production.

In a press release, Chris Purpura, VP of business development at MuleSof, said: "As an open source vendor, we look to OpenLogic as a key partner in promoting governance and enterprise class support for over 500 different open source software projects, including Apache Tomcat, while providing us with additional market coverage for Tcat Server."

MuleSoft, by working with OpenLogic will help more customers maximize the productivity of Tomcat for the Enterprise.

In related news, OpenLogic, a provider of open source solutions that enable enterprises to safely acquire; support, and control open source software, has won the Cloud Connect 2011 Launch Pad People's Choice competition.
