Marketo Announces a Collection of API's and Connectors

Looking to enable companies to integrate Marketo with multiple third-party applications and enterprise data repositories, Marketo (News - Alert) has announced a collection of API’s and connectors.

To quickly access and leverage dozens of enterprise data sources on the Marketo platform – including Adobe Connect, Cisco Webex, Microsoft Dynamics, ON24, Oracle, SAP, Salesforce.com (News - Alert), as well as custom and legacy applications, companies can use the new integration capabilities. Enabling them to quickly get the most out of their investments in integration platforms, Marketo’s unique set of API’s and connectors provide businesses with speed and flexibility.

Revenue Performance Management (RPM) from Marketo is a strategy to optimize interactions with buyers across the revenue cycle to accelerate predictable revenue growth.

“Today’s announcement speaks to an important trend we are seeing amongst our enterprise accounts,” said George Jaquette, SVP of engineering at Marketo.  “Increasingly, these organizations are turning to Marketo as their system of record for Revenue Performance Management, and are looking to bring more data from throughout the enterprise into the system.  Our new collection of API’s and connectors enable organizations to significantly enhance the value of their existing enterprise application investments.”

Marketo secured 9 new customers at corporations with revenue over $1 billion, and signed multiple million dollar deals in the fourth quarter of 2010 alone. According to the company, its customers are looking to inject the Marketo platform with more types of enterprise data as they increasingly rely on Marketo to drive their revenue machine, the company stated in a press release. Companies get various benefits from Marketo’s new collection of API’s and connectors.

Recently, the Gartner (News - Alert) MarketScope for CRM Lead Management assigned a “positive” rating to Marketo. MarketScope evaluates a marketplace at and for a specific time period and depicts Gartner's analysis of how certain vendors measure against criteria for that marketplace. The criteria are defined by Gartner and included market responsiveness, overall viability, and an evaluation of the vendors' products and services, among other criteria.
