Virtual Bridges Signs Distribution Agreement with CDG

Virtual Bridges, a leading provider of comprehensive desktop management and provisioning solution leveraging virtualization to deliver desktops either on-premise or in the cloud, has recently announced that the company has signed a distribution agreement with CDG. CDG is a major distributor of virtualization solutions in the United Kingdom and throughout Europe, and the partnership with CDG will enable Virtual Bridges to expand its European presence. Virtual Bridges’ VERDE virtual desktop management featuring online, offline and branch VDI for both Windows and Linux desktops, and provisioning capabilities will be utilized by CDG customers in Europe.

In a release, Oren Taylor, company director at CDG said that, “CDG customers are looking for the latest innovations in technology to reduce the growing costs and complexity of managing desktops. With integrated online, offline and branch VDI, VERDE’s flexibility makes it the ideal solution for our customers, whether mid-market or large enterprise, and from on-premises to hosted and cloud-based deployments. We’re confident Virtual Bridges will be a perfect fit for this market.”

CDG specializes in VDI cloud, application delivery and Desktops as a Service (DaaS). VERDE, a purpose-built VDI solution, enables users to access desktops from any location or device including tablets, netbooks, laptops and thin clients. VERDE allows organizations to manage their desktops centrally, thereby reducing the costs as well as the challenges associated with provisioning, updating and securing PC environments, and providing enhanced organizational agility, reduced business risk and decreased total cost of ownership to customers. Under the terms of the agreement, CDG will resell the full VERDE suite to its customers and provide authorized post-sales support to its customers in Europe.

Jim Curtin, president and CEO at Virtual Bridges said that, “We’ve seen tremendous momentum for the VERDE solution and are quickly expanding into new geographies. CDG has an impressive track record in this space and will be a great partner to broaden our international distribution capabilities and bring the benefits of VERDE to a whole new set of customers.”

VERDE 5, the industry’s first VDI Gen2 solution was launched in November 2010. It provides unified monitoring and management of desktops to customers in onsite and offsite environments, with high-definition multimedia support, automatic bi-directional sync for true mobility; and advanced cloud branch capabilities including disaster recovery and business continuity.
