EMA Identifies Streamcore as Strong Value in its WOC Solutions Report

Streamcore, the global provider of visibility and dynamic performance control solutions VoIP/video delivery over the WAN, announced that Enterprise Management Associates (EMA (News - Alert)), a leading industry analyst firm focusing on IT and data management technologies, has named Streamcore solutions a “strong value” in its radar report for WAN Optimization Controller (WOC) solutions dated March 2011.

“We are gratified to receive these special designations in EMA’s latest report,” said Frederic Hediard, VP of product strategy at Streamcore, in a statement. “This report helps IT organizations understand the various solutions available on the market and highlights Streamcore’s competitive advantage for optimizing VoIP and video delivery over any cloud.”

The report provides a comparative study of 13 different WAN optimization vendor solutions. Streamcore was specifically recognized as the vendor “most worth a closer look,” particularly for its strength in controlling real-time traffic such as voice over IP (VoIP) and video.

“The vast majority of IT organizations are struggling to deliver acceptable quality of service for applications used by geographically dispersed network end users,” said Jim Frey, managing research director at EMA. “Solutions such as Streamcore’s can really help enterprises gain control over network resources, improve bandwidth utilization and prioritize critical business applications over WAN links. Streamcore solutions will be particularly useful to enterprises that have a high volume of VoIP and video traffic.”

Streamcore solutions enable Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Software as a Service (SaaS (News - Alert)) providers to offer new personalized visibility, monitoring and performance control services so that customers can access data centers located in the cloud.

Streamcore products enable enterprises to benefit from all-in-one visibility - network, applications, VoIP, video -, real-time monitoring and advanced on-demand reporting from a single centralized management console. What makes Streamcore unique is that visibility and advanced performance control features are tied together, and can be enabled from data centers to ensure fast deployment and cost-efficiency.

Moreover, Streamcore products multi-tenancy capabilities allow service providers to offer innovative value-added services. The company’s technology is field-proven with more than 300 global customers, including numerous service providers and Global 1000 enterprises.
