Businessman Introduces Facebook-centered Keyboard

Entrepreneur Robert Amato realized that he, too, could benefit from Mark Zuckerberg’s (News - Alert) Facebook empire and recently introduced a keyboard called the Social Network Access Keyboard (S.N.A.K.), designed to make social networking even easier.

Modeled from the Dynex Multimedia Keyboard, S.N.A.K. may at first glance appear to look like any other keyboard, but it actually displays 19 one-touch keys down the sides that when pressed take you to different parts of Facebook (News - Alert), including your profile, account settings and newsfeed.

“Our keyboards were created with YOU in mind,” explains Amato on his site SocialKeyboards.com. “They're meant to be simple, they're meant to be easy to use and most importantly, they're meant to make your social networking experience faster and more reliable. We've spent countless hours perfecting our keyboards to ensure the most user friendly experience possible. Literally press a button and your there.”

The keyboard provides direct links to upload a video directly from your webcam or hard drive, upload photos, a list of all the photos your friends and family recent posted, the Facebook homepage, your privacy settings, your account settings, the micro site to edit your profile, your full list of friends, and your messages, among other things.

“Unfortunately, with the ongoing updates of Facebook's GUI (Graphical User Interface), the ease of use of social networking is beginning to dwindle,” argues Amato. “While Facebook's intentions are noble, often enough it becomes a task to relearn and adjust to the new layout.”

S.N.A.K. can be the solution to making the social networking experience “faster and more reliable,” according to Amato.

The keyboard, which costs $29.99, has been available for purchase since March 6. Consumers can purchase a SNAK through paypal, personal check, money order or "Shop Now" via our Facebook page

“The Social Network Access Keyboard makes social networking easy,” explains Amato in a preview video.

According to an Engadget article, Amato has tried to create an original keyboard many times now, as he started with his Classmates.com keyboard then moved on to a design for OK Cupid and MySpace (News - Alert) with a keyboard called Social Keyboard Applied to Networking and Kegs (S.K.A.N.K.).
