Emerson Network Power to Design Six Data Centers for Datacraft in India

Emerson Network Power, a business of Emerson and a provider of business critical continuity solutions, announced it will design six Internet data centers in India for Datacraft, an IT solutions and services provider.

Datacraft is looking at offering colocation, hosted, and enterprise cloud services to its customers in India. The data centers will be located in Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Ghaziabad, Faridabad, and Ludhiana.

As part of the agreement, Emerson Network Power (News - Alert) will also provide data center infrastructure management solutions and cooling and power technologies. The six data centers will have total area of 66,000 square feet.

“This is a significant partnership with one of the leading data center solutions providers in the world,” said Dilip Kumar, chief operating officer, Datacraft Asia, in a statement. “By leveraging Emerson’s leading-edge solutions, we are able to provide our clients with a comprehensive range of cloud and hosted data center services particularly for the government and public sectors.”

Emerson Network Power will deploy its Aperture Data Center Infrastructure Management suite. The company will also provide its power and cooling technologies such as Liebert Smart Aisle and Liebert PeX with Digital Scroll. Emerson is trying to offer uptime service levels of 99.982 percent. 

The new data centers will be based on Emerson Network Power’s Energy Logic strategy for maximizing energy efficiency.  Emerson will design and build the data centers with the aim of getting Tier III certification and 1.7 annualized Power Usage Efficiency (PUE).

“This partnership is the first step toward establishing a deeper business relationship with Datacraft,” said Sandeep Nair, president and managing director, Emerson Network Power in India. 

“We will leverage our capabilities to respond to our client’s dynamic business imperatives and enable Datacraft to respond to their own customers demands quicker and to improve operational efficiency,” Nair added.

Recently, Emerson Network Power announced the launch of Smart Solutions, integrated infrastructure systems for the data center.
