No Facebook Yet for Obama's Daughters

Barack and Michelle Obama’s two daughters, Sasha and Malia, do not have Facebook (News - Alert), and probably won’t any time soon according to the First Lady.

The two girls, ages 9 and 12 respectively, are not on Facebook for obvious security reasons imposed by not just the Secret Service, but their parents as well.

The First Lady was quoted as saying that Facebook is “not something they need,” and will have to wait until the girls are older.

It’s understood that the girls have certain security restrictions because of their celebrity status, but according to their mother, even if they weren’t the children of the president of the United States, they still would not be allowed on the social networking site.

In an interview with NBC’s “Today Show, Michelle Obama stated that she is “not a big fan of young kids having Facebook.”
