Evolve's CEO Wins Microsoft Most Valuable Professional Award

Evolve Technologies’ CEO, Dave Sobel, is named for the second year in a row as a Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) for his work with virtualization technology and contributions to the Microsoft (News - Alert) technology communities. Evolve is leading company specializing in providing information technology solutions for small businesses in the DC Metro Area.  In addition, Sobel has been named to the SMB PC Magazine and SMB Technology Network (SMBTN) Top 150 List of the most influential people in the small and medium business (SMB) channel.

An annual honor that has been recognizing leaders in IT since the early 1990s, Microsoft MVP Award honors technology leaders worldwide who actively share their high quality, real-world expertise with Microsoft and its users. Microsoft often gives MVPs early access to products, and typically solicits feedback and recommendations about product design, development and support. To receive MVP Award status, individuals are nominated by technical community members, current MVPs and Microsoft personnel. This is the second year that Sobel has received this distinction.

"Dave Sobel's continued contributions to the IT community through regular blog posts, industry pieces and speaking events, represent exactly what Microsoft seeks to recognize with the MVP Award. Microsoft is delighted to recognize him as an MVP for the second year in a row," said Ryan Bolz, Senior MVP Lead of Community and Online Support, at Microsoft, said in a statement.

Harry Brelsford, CEO of SMB Nation, said, "SMB PC Magazine's Top 150 list is a 'who's who' of the most respected and influential members of the SMB channel and Dave's inclusion on this list demonstrates his strong presence and commitment to the community."

Sobel said, "I am honored to be recognized both by Microsoft and the SMB community. Microsoft's MVPs are a world-renowned community of experts and to be included in this esteemed group and recognized by my peers for my work within the SMB IT community is a great privilege."
