PacketExchange Launches Its Network Infrastructure-as-a-Service (NIaaS)

PacketExchange, a provider of private network services with Internet economics, launched its Network Infrastructure-as-a-Service (NIaaS), a new cloud computing networking solution. The Service is designed to enable organizations to reliably and securely access cloud-hosted applications.

The company asserted that at present, network usage continues to evolve and so its underlying infrastructure must be flexible enough to fit the changes that enterprise businesses need in order for the network to continue to be a business enabler and not a hindrance. Also companies are increasingly sourcing their computing requirements from the cloud, whether public or private, the method by which they are accessed becomes ever more-important.

As more and more apps and services find their way into the cloud, it is imperative that organizations need a secure network access into this infrastructure than the public internet alone can offer. This network must be flexible and capable of continuing to meet the changing needs of its users in order to generate real business value.

The new NIaaS can cater to these demands – the service can dynamically route data traffic across its converged global private and public IP network infrastructure to provide an optimized solution ideal for cloud-based applications.

In a press release, Grant Kirkwood (News - Alert), CTO of PacketExchange exclaimed that PacketExchange’s experience in providing private, custom data delivery solutions to businesses that rely on the cloud has allowed it to engineer network solutions that assure the quality of service these applications demand. With 100 percent SLA guarantees across its network, PacketExchange (News - Alert) provides a reliable and robust infrastructure that offers the bandwidth flexibility needed to meet the dynamic needs of cloud-based data communications.

PacketExchange claimed that it works with organizations to understand what they really need from their service provider and assigns to them the optimal infrastructure solution that will unlock the business advantage derived from a high performance network. PacketExchange's global Ethernet network assures a quality data transport experience and the company also offers management and ongoing network assurance to its clients’ needs, the company said.
