Ingram Micro Authorized to Market and Sell HP 3PAR Storage Systems

Ingram Micro, a creator of sales and profitability opportunities, has been authorized to sell, market and support HP 3PAR Storage systems as a result of an expanded partnership between Ingram Micro (News - Alert) and HP.

According to the company, the HP 3PAR Storage Systems feature a mesh-active design that allows each LUN to be active on every controller in the system. By concurrently applying all node resources to each LUN, this mesh-active architecture delivers far more headroom in addition to load-balanced performance and simplified management for virtual and cloud data centers.

HP 3PAR Storage Systems, including the T-Class and F-Class systems, are designed to help channel partners deliver the efficiencies of consolidation while maximizing flexibility, a combination critical for virtualization and cloud computing environments. The HP 3PAR architecture featured in the HP 3PAR Storage systems provides advantages for virtual and cloud data centers such as multi-tenancy, thin built-in technology, mesh-active design, native tiered storage capabilities, ASIC-assisted performance, resilience and system density.

In a press release, HP said it sees tremendous business value in the IT channel and is pleased to make its new 3PAR storage solutions available from Ingram Micro. With the support of Ingram Micro's HP Business Unit and new Advanced Computing Division, it is able to accelerate and execute against its converged infrastructure strategy. Together HP and Ingram offer HP channel partners the resources, support and technology they need to build and grow a profitable practice around HP storage solutions.

HP 3PAR technology is claimed to have the efficiency to offer next-gen storage functionality needed to support enterprise customers' business needs and hybrid cloud environments. Companies with the ability to being able to purchase HP 3PAR solutions from Ingram Micro will see a simplified sales process and access the pre- and post-sales and technical support resources one becomes accustomed to as an Ingram Micro channel partner.
