At the recent Cloud Expo 2010 in California, hundreds of industry leaders gathered to reveal the latest developments in cloud computing, and TMC (News - Alert) was there to find out what the latest news was in the cloud. In a video interview with Tom Humbarger, product marketing for Morphlabs, TMC’s Erin Harrison gathered the latest news from Morphlabs, and what the company has been working on in terms of its cloud computing infrastructures.
Morphlabs provides easily deployed solutions that allow enterprises and service providers to implement elastic cloud computing infrastructures. The infrastructures support scalable and high-performance applications and processes.
The mCloud Controller, Morphlabs flagship product, is a cloud computing platform which converts commodity hardware into a cloud environment. Building on best practices of Enterprise Cloud Architecture, it enables companies to build their own infrastructures. “It’s an operational management platform that works with Amazon EC2 to make Amazon easier to use over the public cloud,” stated Humbarger.
“A lot of people are concerned about security, andthat’s why a lot of people are looking at a private cloud solution,” added Humbarger. Concerning the hybrid private/public cloud solution, Humbarger noted that the industry does want to see that merge.
Morphlabs made an announcement at the Cloud Expo about its new mCloud On Demand product. Check out the interview here.
