Incisive, a provider of products designed to minimize spreadsheet risk, will launch Xcellerator 1.3, a new update to the Xcellerator spreadsheet analysis application offered by the company. With the new version of the solution, users will be able to save their time significantly, apart from enjoying enhanced productivity as well. The solution is a unique spreadsheet analysis application on the market at present, which helps the users in scanning single worksheets instead of an entire workbook.
According to Diane Robinette, vice president of marketing for Incisive, the new Xcellerator upgrade is a direct result of customer requests, as the company was aware that its customers needed accurate and reliable results as fast as possible. Robinette noted that the ability to run Xcellerator’s comprehensive set of tests on one worksheet at a time provides users with a significant increase in their own productivity while delivering results they can rely on; and the feature also reduces the computer’s memory overhead which leads to increased performance and is especially important with respect to larger workbooks.
Integrating its robust error checking and investigative capabilities to effectively analyze spreadsheets, Xcellerator 1.3 applies 28 different tests to uncover errors and risks and creates a color-coded heat map that shows errors within the spreadsheet and identifies hidden errors with better accuracy levels when compared to any other solution, such as Microsoft (News - Alert) Excel.
The solution produces an extensive range of tests, encompassing formula errors and risks in cell accuracy to hidden errors and external references. Further, it lists errors by severity and likelihood to help identify ‘hot spots’ where errors are most critical, and delivers fast results that saves spreadsheet reviewers long hours of laborious manual checking. Also, the solution ensures the enterprises that material errors and possible fraud are avoided.
Apart from Xcellerator 1.3, the other solutions offered by Incisive include Concourse, a spreadsheet collaboration and control solution and Validate, a spreadsheet auditing software. T
In February 2010, Incisive announced to launch Validate 3.0, a spreadsheet auditing software application that is a computer aided audit tool. The solution seamlessly complements Microsoft Excel and provides auditors with the ability to quickly and easily review Excel spreadsheet data, such as formulas and logic, in order to authenticate information and establish a level of integrity of the spreadsheet.
