Server Centre Selects CloudLinux to Enhance Customer Experience

Software company CloudLinux, Inc., announced that managed hosting provider Server Centre is expecting to add CloudLinux to its dedicated server and VPS solutions.

The CloudLinux solution was selected by Server Centre for its new, innovative Lightweight Virtual Environment (LVE) technology designed to deliver improved performance for its dedicated and VPS customers.

“Server Centre is focused on providing the best and most comprehensive solutions the most complex of hosting challenges,” said Server Centre Managing Director Adam Heavens, in a statement. “Server Centre delivers high-quality hosting solutions, and CloudLinux helps us improve our offering so our customers continue to get the most innovative solutions available on the market today.”

Server Centre anticipates customers will benefit from CloudLinux as it helps to increase uptime. No account can slow down or take down the entire shared server, ensuring consistent operations for all. The solution is also expected to deliver better reliability and performance as the server will run at peak operating capacity.

The integration also allows for better control over CPU resources and increased density so more tenants can be hosted on one server. CloudLinux with Server Centre also delivers compatibility with all major control panels for easy management. “CloudLinux can help managed hosting providers like Server Centre provide improved stability and reliability for their customers,” stated Igor Seletskiy, CloudLinux founder and CEO.The core technology within the CloudLinux is the Lightweight Virtual Environment which limits the amount of resources available to a group of processes. LVE is similar to a container type virtualization technology and is completely transparent and lightweight. Once it is installed, this technology will transparently manage resources that the host provider sets for the accounts on a server. The LVE also controls the CPU resources to ensure that each account on a shared server receives enough sources in its allocation to run efficiently without jeopardizing the other tenants on that server. As a result, the server is more stable and delivers better performance. Available at a tiered retail monthly price, CloudLinux is priced to support a full range of hosting providers. The CloudLinux Partner Program is designed to offer discounts and more competitive pricing and a support model that meets the specific requirements of hosting companies. In other CloudLinux news, the company announced in June that Hosting Metro will integrate CloudLinux into its standard Linux Operating Systems for its customers. The reason behind the adoption of CloudLinux is its ground-breaking Lightweight Virtual Environment technology.
