New Data Virtualization Platform with Powerful Data Management Capability

Queplix Corp., a provider of data virtualization solutions, announced the launch of new generation data virtualization platform, Queplix Virtual Data Manager (QVDM) for a new data management paradigm.

For those unaware, data virtualization facilitates customers to automatically and securely integrate cloud, SaaS (News - Alert) and on-premise applications and data with speed and simplicity.

The new data virtualization platform, QVDM, automates application and data integration. It integrates on-premise, cloud and SaaS software applications quickly, easily and securely. This integration provides a consistent view of customer, product and financial data so that vital information remains accurate across software systems.

Given that QVDM brings powerful data management to automatically harmonize the integrated applications and data, customers will be able to achieve greater agility, cost savings, as well as rapid return on their investment compared to legacy solutions, middleware, ETL, EII EAI tools and expensive data management solutions.

According to Queplix, QVDM has a powerful architecture that drives the application and data integration process. With the help of this architecture, the platform is able to manage a simple integration between two applications or scale easily to integrate many multiple instances of a complex application such as Siebel or SAP (News - Alert).

The QVDM can also securely connect many different target applications and data with the help of application software blades. These blades identify and extract key data and associated security information, then bring it into the Queplix Engine where it is automatically harmonized.

QVDM stores metadata, not data. So, it is faster than a database engine. The core of QVDM is a persistent metadata server, accessible to all applications to enable a common source of data information and truth.

Application areas that will benefit from QVDM include customer relationship management, where cloud-based solutions such as SalesForce.com require integration and ongoing data harmonization with on-premise applications to provide a consistent view of customers.

In addition, availability of consistent data not only improves customer service but also reduces operating costs and increases operational effectiveness in many areas. Consistent data is also a critical part of compliance for chief financial officers who are required to certify the accuracy of reporting. The new platform provides ongoing data harmonization for higher business value.

In a press release, Mark Cashman, CEO of Queplix, said, "For the first time, organizations have a powerful data management capability that keeps the most important asset in any enterprise, information, in alignment and secure. There are a broad range of issues that can result from out-of-date and inconsistent information and the ROI for reducing and eliminating this problem is well understood." Cashman added, “Integrate all of your key applications with QVDM, and you will benefit from enhanced operating effectiveness and gather the additional reward of a strong return on investment that is so important in this economic environment."
