ITEXPO West: Tuesday Morning Tidbits

There is some new news coming out of the packed ITEXPO West, from the likes of Interactive Intelligence (News - Alert), The NGN Forum and others.

The NGN Forum

The NGN Forum is launching its Smart Energy Forum today, directly from ITEXPO West’s Internet Telephony (News - Alert) Expo. The new Forum will also hold a Board and Members meeting that is open to all attendees at the Internet Telephony Expo and 4GWE conference.

The Smart Energy Forum will focus on IP services used to power the smart grid, home grids and alternative energy sources such as wind and solar. The NGN Forum will focus its activities on Next Generation Communications and NGN Energy Applications as it moves forward.

But that isn’t the only news!

Interactive Intelligence

The world has turned on to social networking. Ignore it at your peril.

That was effectively the message of Joe Staples, chief marketing officer at Interactive Intelligence, Inc., during this afternoon’s keynote presentation at SocialCRM EXPO, which is collocated this week with ITEXPO in Los Angeles.

In an upbeat speech, Staples offered up statistics on the social networking and Internet fronts that just a few months ago would have been unimaginable.

He said recent research shows that Americans now say the Internet is the most essential media in their lives – more so even than TV, radio or newspapers.

IVR Technologies (News - Alert)

In other news, IVR Technologies Inc. and Voxbone announced today at ITEXPO, the companies have joined forces to provide local, 800 and iNum (News - Alert) access to IVR Technologies’ Talking SIP-Enhanced services platform, as well as its real-time SIP Trunking services.

Both IVR Technologies and Voxbone are exhibiting their solutions this week at ITEXPO West 2010  from Oct. 4 to 6 in Los Angeles, Calif. Officials with IVR Technologies can be located at booth #231 and Voxbone at booth #527.

The Trunking module is designed to provide real-time authentication, authorization, rating, routing and billing. As a result, providers gain the flexibility to service a broad range of customers with the comfort and assurance that real-time safeguards are in place to combat fraud, eliminate receivables and minimize exposure. The field-proven solution is both reliable and scalable.

FaxBack (News - Alert)

Lastly, VoIP fax server company FaxBack has enabled its entire product line of NET SatisFAXtion Fax Solutions and fax servers to include complete native support for AudioCodes’ HTTPS Fax Enabled MP-202B ATA via the Fax Connection Server. The company will be exhibiting its products at booth 319 at this week’s ITEPXO, being held at the Los Angeles Convention Center through Wednesday.

FaxBack officials confirm this integration will allow VoIP providers using the NET SatisFAXtion Carrier & Provider Edition to offer a “truly reliable fax machine-to-VoIP provider connectivity to customers.”

This new support for the AudioCOdes HTTPS Fax Enabled MP-202B ATA, with FaxBack’s NET SatisFAXtion solutions, produces a multi-capable, fax service delivery platform ideal for VoIP providers of any type. Customers will have access to a complete range of VoIP fax services.

FaxBack also announced today at ITEXPO West 2010 general availability for its HTTPS Fax Platform, which enables fax machines, desktop fax applications and NET SatisFAXtion fax servers to stream fax data over low-quality Internet connections, with TDM levels of dependability.

Personally, the biggest news to me will be who wins that brand new Mustang convertible tomorrow.

If you’re interested in joining us, please feel free to register in the South Hall of the Los Angeles Convention Center.

We hope to see you there.
