ITEXPO West: Monday Morning Musings

Some interesting reports are trickling in from ITEXPO (News - Alert) West.

On Sunday night, the event kicked off in an Avaya-sponsored reception at the Westin Bonaventure -- fun was had by all, and then the real ITEXPO West begun.

8x8 (News - Alert) Inc.

One of the first major news items to come out of ITEXPO West was that 8x8 Inc. has announced the release of "8x8 Virtual Office Pro 2.0," an upgraded edition of its award-winning hosted unified communications offering with improvements designed to further enhance the productivity and mobility advantages of this powerful web-based solution.

8x8 Virtual Office Pro delivers a complete suite of web-based communications and collaboration services such as phone, fax, web conferencing, call recording, chat, mobile application and more - via a single online dashboard, enabling access to these tools remotely from any location using just a PC and web browser.

But that isn’t the only announcement here at ITEXPO West.

Commetrex (News - Alert)

Commetrex has announced immediate availability of FaxTap for T.38, release 2.5, which meets the need for an IP-fax session analysis. FaxTap for T.38, and its companion product, FaxTap for PCM, are used in lawful intercept and IP-fax session-analysis applications.

And that’s not all for releases! 

Xorcom (News - Alert)

Xorcom will be introducing Complete Concierge, a communications solution comprised of Xorcom’s Asterisk-based PBX and an integrated Property Management System (PMS) interface at this week’s ITEXPO West 2010 conference happening in Los Angeles.

Complete Concierge allows businesses in the hospitality sector – hotels, motels, resorts, and spas – to benefit from open source telephony while utilizing PMS software in one bundled solution.

New releases aren’t the only reason why attendees come to ITEXPO West. There are also the keynotes and the summits to consider.
