EFI's New Fiery Servers Make Printing Easier at Office

EFI announced two Fiery servers for the new Xerox Color 550/560 Printer, which EFI said are designed to meet diverse customer requirements. The printer provides easy-to-use tools and workflows to the customers, said EFI.

The Fiery VUE application allows users to easily print professional-looking booklets and other documents by targeting at the office environment.

By allowing one page to be printed while subsequent pages are being processed, the Fiery server's Smart RIP technology significantly boosts performance. This allows more pages to be printed per hour, said EFI. Users have the option to let Fiery Hot Folders and Virtual Printers automate the print submission process, saving time when printing repetitive types of jobs and to speed up printing processes even more.

“As evident by our long history of powering Xerox presses and printers, Fiery servers continue to be the digital front-end of choice for businesses of all sizes," said John Henze, vice president of marketing, Fiery division of EFI. "We're excited to bring these new solutions to the marketplace, providing a 30-percent increase in performance over the previous generation among other stand-out enhancements.”

Fiery servers provide exceptional color to quick printers, commercial printers, in-plant CRDs and creative service organizations, apart from their high performance, said EFI. By applying automatic corrections to optimize each image individually for all Fiery supported file types and on both CMYK and RGB images, the new Fiery Image Enhance feature improves the output quality of digital photos.

Recently, the company joined hands with Konica Minolta (News - Alert) Business Solutions U.S.A., to announce that Fiery technology is powering the new bizhub(R) PRESS C7000/C6000 Series of Color Digital Presses from Konica Minolta. The Fiery IC-306 server delivers the highest performance in its class for demanding operator-led environments, superior image color and consistency, intuitive job management, and powerful Variable Data Printing capabilities to increase return on equipment investment for customers.
